Ten trainees (5 male musicians and 5 female musicians) with an average age of 27, coming from Brittany, Belgium, Tours, and the Basque Country, will follow this professional training created by Erik Marchand more than 20 years ago, which awards the certificate "Interpretation of a modal music from learned and popular tradition".

The training will take place over 13 months from January 2024 to January 2025, discontinuously, with one week per month in various locations in Brittany : Amzer Nevez (Ploemeur), La Grande Boutique (Langonnet), Le Novomax (Quimper), L’Antipode (Rennes). A seminar will be held in Thessaloniki, Greece, as part of a collective study trip.

The teaching team of Kreiz Breizh Akademi #10 consists of :
41% female trainers, artists, and performing arts technicians,
59% artists from France (Brittany, Massif Central, Dauphiné, Béarn), Spain, Syria, Turkey, and India.
6 instructors have been part of one of the ten previous collectives of Kreiz Breizh Akademi : Anne-Marie Nicol and Krismenn (KBA#1), Dylan James (KBA#3), Youenn Lange, Thomas Felder, and Pauline Willerval (KBA#5).

From February 2025, at the end of the training, Drom will support the musicians of the new collective in the creation and dissemination of a show in collaboration with La Grande Boutique and Naïade Productions. This creation will be directed by violinist Pierre Droual, an explorer with open ears within the Breton scene for about twenty years (Dièse 3, Nirmaan, Hiks,...) and who participated exactly 10 years ago in Kreiz Breizh Akademi #5 (bowed strings) as a trainee.

The creation in progress with the Kreiz Breizh Akademi #10 collective will highlight electric, timbral, acoustic, and droning sound experiments, focusing on the singing and mainly the modal repertoire of the female singers and great interpreters of Lower Brittany born in the early 20th century.
