Public presentation of the educational portal during national meetings on music research, organized by the Ministry of Culture
Erik Marchand and Ariane Zevaco presented the educational portal for modal music during the "Recherches en musique" event organized by the Directorate General for Artistic Creation (DGCA) on October 16, 2020 in Paris.
The educational portal is the result of research work carried out by Drom with the help of the FEDER, the DRAC and local authorities. Designed and developed as a device for transmitting modal music, it offers theoretical and practical learning tools based on the study of different musical works from different regions of the world. These studies are developed by musicians, teachers, researchers.
On the afternoon of October 16 at Sorbonne University, Erik Marchand, founder and artistic director of Drom, who initiated and developed this project, and Ariane Zevaco, head of education and the "research" center at Drom, presented the portal and its challenges for the transmission of modal music.
